407 Special Education Teachers
The Governing Board upon the recommendation of the Director shall employ all Special Education teachers. All Special Education teachers shall hold a valid Illinois school teaching certificate or be eligible for emergency certification.
Conditions of Employment
All Special Education teachers in the Cooperative shall be recommended for employment, assignment, evaluation, and dismissal by the Director and approved by the Governing Board consistent with any current Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative and an employee organization recognized by the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of special education teachers shall be determined by the Director, Cooperative administration, Assistant Director, and/or Coordinators as consistent with any current Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative and an employee organization recognized by the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board. All special education teachers in the cooperative shall be responsible to the Director or designee for general direction and to the building principal for responsibilities at the assigned school. These responsibilities include but are not limited to those responsibilities that appear in the special education teachers' job description, evaluation plan, and any responsibilities contained in the Cooperative's policies and rules and regulations.
